Florida A&M University Developmental Research School (FAMU DRS) and The ASSISTments Foundation (TAF) are proud to announce the continuation of their high-dosage math tutoring partnership for the 2025–2026 school year.

We’re excited to share the fruits of that work through the ASSISTments Tutor Implementation Guide: a free, research-backed playbook that’s designed to help district and school leaders launch sustainable, small-group tutoring programs using existing staff and/or community volunteers.

As we continue to work through the educational challenges that pandemic-related learning recovery presents, high dosage tutoring continues to be at the forefront of strategies to help students accelerate their learning. ASSISTments Tutor, our learning science-based tutoring program, facilitates learning acceleration for schools by supporting tutors with technology, training, and data-driven feedback.

At ASSISTments, one of our primary goals is to research and develop innovative technologies and practices that can help improve student learning while also leaving a lasting impact on student success. To support our goals, we are currently researching the effects of high-dosage tutoring that is directly aligned to classroom instruction through multiple school-based pilots.

The practice of formative assessment establishes a culture of excellence in the classroom rooted in co-facilitated learning and expertly crafted lessons that accommodate the needs of all learners. Learn how ASSISTments, in partnership with the Louisiana Department of Education, can provide you with rich data insights so you can uncover your students’ needs and level of understanding. This data can also be shared with your students, empowering them to take ownership of their own learning.
