ASSISTments announced that it has recently completed its SOC 2® examination, reinforcing the organization’s commitment to maintaining strong controls relevant to security and supporting schools with trusted educational technology.

System and Organization Controls (SOC) is a suite of services CPAs may provide relating to controls at a service organization. The SOC 2® examination evaluates controls relevant to security, availability, processing integrity, confidentiality, or privacy.

Completion of the SOC 2® examination provides schools and districts with additional assurance that ASSISTments has established and maintains controls designed to protect sensitive information.

For education leaders, this milestone supports:

  • Independent evaluation of ASSISTments’ controls relevant to security
  • Greater confidence during procurement, risk assessment, and vendor review processes
  • Reinforced trust in how student and educator data is managed

As a nonprofit organization dedicated to advancing equitable math learning nationwide, ASSISTments views privacy and security as foundational responsibilities. The organization continues to invest in infrastructure, policies, and internal processes that help safeguard the information entrusted to it by educators and students.
