Jared Joiner

Founder

Jared Joiner is the founder of JOINERS, a civic connection studio in Oakland, CA experimenting with joyful ways to strengthen community life and civic participation. His work spans neighborhood activations, youth engagement, and digital tools to help build civic identity and belonging.

Previously, Jared spent seven years at the Chan Zuckerberg Initiative bridging research and product teams to fund and develop learning-science-grounded edtech. He has also served in school district leadership in San Francisco and Boston, worked in edtech product management, and taught in Washington, DC. He holds an Ed.M. in Mind, Brain, and Education from Harvard and an A.B. in Cognitive Neuroscience and Philosophy from Washington University in St. Louis.
