Why don’t all of my students appear in my ASSISTments roster after syncing?


Students must complete a “handshake” with ASSISTments before they appear in the student dropdown.

This applies to both new students and students who have recently been added to your learning management system but have never clicked on an ASSISTments assignment link.

To fix this:

  1. Assign an ASSISTments problem set to All Students.

  2. Ask the missing student(s) to click the assignment link from the learning management systems (Google Classroom, Canvas, Schoology, etc.)

  3. They will be prompted to authorize ASSISTments or complete the handshake.

  4. Afterward, you can click ‘Synchronize’ in your teacher account the missing students will appear in the dropdown.

Once completed, the student(s) will show up on your class card(s) and in your dropdown for future assignments.
