Student Choice allows students to see all problems at once and decide the order in which they complete them, giving them flexibility to start with problems they feel most confident about and build momentum toward more challenging ones.
Once you have selected the problem set you would like to assign, you will notice student choice as the default option.

Students can choose which problem to work on by clicking a problem from the list on the left, or by using the “Previous Problem” and “Next Problem” buttons to navigate.
The blue highlight indicates which problem students are currently completing

Students are able to monitor their completion status in the left margin. A symbol will appear to indicate a completed problem. No available symbol on the left alerts students that they still need to complete that particular problem before submission.

Students are able to submit the assignment once all problems have a symbol next to them and the yellow finish button appears.
As a note, the symbols will be based on the number of attempts taken to arrive at the correct answer. Learn more about symbols of success here.
Students are able to revise their answers to open response questions with student choice.
Once a student submits their answer, a grey checkmark symbol appears next to the open response question.

If a student wants to edit the open response problem before they submit their assignment, they can select the open response question, edit what they have written in the open response box, and resubmit their answer.

Once students have completed all problems of their assignment, they can submit their work by selecting the yellow ‘Finish’ button, and they will see their Score Report.
