Assign legacy content in the newest version of ASSISTments.

As of August 2024, you have the ability to import your problem sets from our legacy version (1.0) into the current version of ASSISTments.  We encourage you to use our most current version of ASSISTments. If you do not have an account in our current version, follow the steps to create an account here.

Before importing your legacy content ensure that your legacy problem sets meet the requirements for a successful import.

Requirements for a successful import

Ensure that none of the content you built and want to assign next year has:

1. Problems with an empty problem body
2. Problems where the answer given is not of the type specified
3. Scaffolding - this is not currently supported
4. Graspable Math - this is not currently supported
5. Skill builders where the contents of the skill builder are anything but simple problems

To ensure the smoothest transition of your content and problems built, please resolve any issues directly in our legacy version prior to import.

Important notes before you start your import:

• Please be sure to follow the instructions in our previous email to review your content before starting your import.
• Once you’ve started your import, this action cannot be undone, or completed again. So, any problems you build after the import will not be transferred over. 
• Depending on the amount of content you have, it may take some time for the import to complete. You can check back in a few hours to see if your import has been completed.

After you have reviewed your content based on the requirements above, follow the steps below to start your import:

1. Select your name in the top right corner, then select the “Import 1.0 Content” from the dropdown menu

2. Enter your ASSISTments legacy (1.0) account login

3. Select “Link and Import”

4. Once your content is imported, you will see “See Results” 

5. If you click on “See Results” you will see a report of your import. If you have an invalid problems or problem sets, see above requirements to understand reasoning. 

6. You can find your imported problems and problem set in “My Problem”
